In a surreal sitcom world, Dolores - a manic, overly optimistic divorcée - tries to win back her troubled clown stepdaughter by purchasing the building she lives in under house arrest.
I ADORE DOLORES is a proof-of-concept pilot for a half-hour comedy created by myself, Emily Wilson & Jo Rou, starring Jo Rou and Sarah Natochenny (POKEMON). Filmed on a micro-budget with a set constructed by Michael Borowiec and April Lasky, the pilot was selected for The Gotham TV Series Lab (formerly IFP), where it was hailed as “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure for the Adult Swim generation.” The pilot premiered at SeriesFest, won “Most Outrageous” at Orlando Film Festival and was named one of Vulture’s “must-watch comedy shorts.” It was released by streaming platform NoBudge2.
