Stuck with their deranged family in a remote house in the woods, a visiting college student and her quiet younger brother try to stay alive through Christmas.

You might be asking yourself, who in their right mind includes their low res, nearly-30-minute-long student film in their professional portfolio? Well, me, that’s who. Shot in stunning “1080p” on the Panasonic HVX200, MOTION SICK was my senior thesis project at the SUNY Purchase Film Conservatory and an homage to FUNNY GAMES. Despite its shortcomings, I’m quite proud of this film and think it’s an accurate representation of the types of stories I still tell today. It was awarded the prestigious Sol Turrell Award by the Purchase Film Board of Study for “Most Outstanding Film.”
